| BLASI specialises in the design, planning
and the manufacturing of automatic doors systems, partitioning walls
and security equipment.
Our capacity for understanding our customers’ concepts
and a balanced proportion of creativity and technical know-how
determine our thinking and our actions. We can show you how even
unconventional solutions can be achieved at reasonable cost with
a wealth of expertise. This is the only way to ensure that your
entrance becomes an individual work of art.
Confidence and trust are the basis of every partnership. They
never develop of their own accord. That is why we aim to convince
our customers through performance from the very beginning. Initially
there is the quality of advice given to building sponsors, architects
and the metal construction industry. Even at this early stage
we incorporate our entire know-how and expertise gained over
30 years within the area of automatic door systems. We are striving
for unconventional solutions to realise our customers’ ideas
in the best possible way and remain a reliable and efficient
partner during and after the installation.
Our manufacturing plant in Mahlberg with its 5000 m² manufacturing
floor space and 2000m² office space creates the perfect
background. Here chartered engineers and electronic engineers
are developing ever more complex solutions for automatic doors.
Qualified specialists, the most up-to-date manufacturing systems
and the most stringent criteria with regards to quality assurance
guarantee the proverbial reliability of BLASI door systems.
This may be the reason why internationally renowned architects
like Foster & Partners, Renzo Piano, Richard Rogers Partnership,
Renzo Piano, Zaha Hadid or Murphy Jahn became BLASI customers.
Founded in 1972 by Peter Blasi, BLASI GmbH rapidly developed
into one of the most innovative companies within the industry.
Only one year after the company foundation Peter Blasi was ready
to mass-manufacture the first automatic door from an aluminium
header profile. As a result an opening width of 6 metres could
be realised for the first time. Further innovations such a the
first completely electronic door actuator, the first prism and
curved sliding doors, the upgrade of linear sliding doors into
variable communication systems and many more were to follow.
New ideas are continuously checked for feasibility and subsequently
incorporated into mass production.
The most recent example is the concealed underfloor operator
also known as the revolving floor. Ultimately it is our aim to
remain at the cutting edge of technology and offer nothing but
innovations to our customers now and in the future.
Our employee’s knowledge and motivation is our greatest
asset. For this reason BLASI has invested in the training and
professional development of its staff from the very beginning.
The resulting variety of innovations and the know-how gathered
over a period of three decades have made us a market leader.
Currently more than 130 employees including 5 apprentices develop
and manufacture automatic doors for projects all over the world.
BLASI door systems are in use in many well-known locations. These
include the EU Parliament in Strasbourg, the Parliament buildings
in London and Luxembourg, the Reichstag in Berlin, Debis and
Sony Centre in Berlin, The Bank of China in Beijing, renowned
industrial conglomerates, reputable hotels such as the ‘Schlosshotel
Bühler Höhe’ and the ‘Bayerischer Hof’ in
Munich as well as numerous banks and building societies.
These success stories are our motivation to bring vision to
reality without ever compromising on safety.
Each and every door system that leaves our factory floor is
unique. This is due to unlimited number of options we offer to
meet each individual client’s expectations and requirements.
We manufacture door systems in every conceivable size and shape
such as: linear doors, revolving doors, prism doors, curved,
drum or oval sliders, revolving doors with 2, 3 or 4 door leaves,
suitable for public access or security areas, with conventional
or concealed underfloor operators – the choice is yours.
Each system is available in a choice of finishes, as all-glass,
stainless steel, brass, aluminium, timber or any RAL colour.
Creating a focal point and the all-important first impression
is effortless with a BLASI automatic door system.
In international tenders architects have been known to request
solutions, which seem impossible to meet at first glance. Frequently
BLASI is the only manufacturer in a position to offer solutions.
This was the case when Lord Foster requested a concealed drive
for door leaves, which were 4 metres high and weighed 800 kg
each for the Reichstag in Berlin. The Reykjavik airport represented
another challenge. BLASI was the only manufacturer capable of
installing a revolving door system with a diameter of 4.80 metres,
which remained operational in spite of wind speeds of 250km/h.
Another example is the German embassy in Rome, where an automatic
revolving door of the highest security category was required
with bomb glazing. This door system can resist even the attack
of anti-tank rocket launchers.
These examples demonstrate that we will employ our know-how
and expertise to achieve the impossible in order to meet even
the most challenging demand.
For a door system to be accepted by a client ease of operation
is the second most important factor after smooth performance.
For this reason BLASI has invested in the development of its
own periphery products early on. Where certain security standards
are required the code-card reader ESL-S23 prevents access of
unauthorised persons absolutely reliably. A further highlight
is the Tritec movement sensor, which appeals particularly due
to its shape and performance. This optoelectronic movement sensor
offers a fully controlled door movement as well as being externally
tamper-proof, as the swivelling sensors are adjusted internally.
Just as interesting is the intelligent operating switch IBS-B,
suitable for programming and actuating of all conceivable parameters
. Its space requirement equals that of a standard plug.
These and other preripherals from the BLASI modular system turn
the actuation and monitoring of automatic door systems to a very
convenient experience.
